Okay fine, I will share my secret on maintaining my weight ...

I included 3 categories, what I put in my body, what I make my body do, and what I avoid to maintain my weight...

Food/Drinks

-drink a glass of luke warm water before consuming anything
-eat fruits for breakfast and an egg with a glass of soya milk
-eat small meals throughout the day making sure you have the four food groups (meat, wheat, fruits & veggies, dairy), but try to limit your intake of red meat to only once a week, eat an egg a day or tofu, soy, chicken, or fish instead and avoid carbs (rice, noodles, pastas, bread, etc...), try to eat more from the fruits & veggies group, and limit your intake of dairy (milk and yogurts), drink soya milk instead
-mix inulin into your liquids; refer to the instructions on the bottle for usage instructions (Benefibre works well)
-try to add seaweed (wakami) to your diet, in soups is the best method
-drink lots of green tea
Exercise
-swim, jog, walk, etc... at least 3 times a day
-try to burn more calories than you eat (keep a food calorie count)
Habits to avoid
-avoid sugars, carbs, and fats (avoid baked goods and snacks from packages, try to only eat home cooked meals or things made from scratch, and keep restaurant meals to once or twice a month)
-avoid processed foods
-eat until you feel full, not stuffed (it’s okay to have left over for the next time you are hungry)
-avoid juices/soda/sugary drinks (keep in mind that a gram of sugar is the same as a sugar cube); if you’re thirsty drink water and/or green tea
-avoid eating after 8pm
-avoid any whites (sugar, rice, bread etc...) use brown sugar or honey instead, eat brown rice and brown bread instead
-drink wine instead of beer
-treat yourself to desserts etc... that you crave only once a week and try to eat it in the afternoon, so it’s not the first thing your body is absorbing and it’s not the last thing your body has to burn off before sleeping
-try to sleep no less than 7 hrs a night
This is literally everything I do, nothing more, nothing less...

Got to love it!

Holy cow, been with this company in this current position for over a year now and this same parent keeps coming down so rough on me. So the story goes... This child that I work with has had more and more better days as time went by; however, when he has bad days, it's not your typical OMG I'm going to pull my hair out type scenario, it's literally, FML I am going to make myself bald!!! Anyhow, the team that I work with is overall good, we communicate to each other and to the parents about the ins and outs of things, what's working what's not, etc... So, when we were visited by our new consultant, which by the way is extremely nice and helpful and understanding. The discussion was brought up by her if I thought any other child would benefit from the services that she has to offer and long and behold, the child who is going to make me bald one day, pops into my head and I without having any second thoughts what so ever, hands her business card to this child's father at pick up time, not once thinking to myself, that OMG maybe just maybe I should have gave him the heads up that I was going to present him and his wife, who is the hard to deal with one here, the f**ken card!! Goodness was she pissed off the next business day. Totally my fault though, as always, I can't change others, I can only change myself, so "leçon apprise" ... don't ever think that what you have done is enough, doesn't matter how much you "think" you said to someone to prepare them, always assume they are NOT prepared for whatever it is you are going to give them, even when you think it is a nice gesture, always assume the worse. Also, in case anyone is wondering, the consultant provides support to child care centres to develop inclusive principles and practices to enhance all children’s experiences. In no way, do they only provide services to children who have a developmental delay and/or disorder because this is what this parent thought. They also provide children who need extra support and would benefit from additional program support. On a side note, her child is extremely intelligent and on his good days is what makes me love what I do so much.
